Naruto is the main character. Naruto was born in Konoha and hes the legenday nine tailed fox jinchuuriki, or “Monster Host.” He is the son of the 4th Hokage “Minato Namikaze” and “kushina uzumaki.” Naruto took on the surname (last name) of uzumaki as the 3rd hokage thought it was best that no one knew he was related to the 4th hokage. Naruto was named after a character in Jiraiya’s first book. His parents named him in hopes that he would some day become a great ninja like the character in Jiraiya’s book. This made Jiraiya naruto’s godfather. After Naruto’s birth the hidden leaf village (konoha) was soon attacked by the 9-tails demon. Minato Namikaze (naruto’s father) sacrificed his life to seal the demon inside naruto’s body, thinking he could one day use the powers.
